to the core

from the other room, i heard him cry.

jaxon had fallen off of the small table in his sisters' room--

yet again.

i brought him out to the living room to console him,

and from his little sweaty hand,

i pried the remnants of an apple i didn't know he still had...

he's impossible to keep off of the kitchen table,

let alone the fruit basket.

he discovered a love for apples,

and his insatiable appetite drives him to help himself

whenever he pleases...

but i don't think anyone finds sampled apples appetizing...

so much for a fruit basket.
