last week, we had a fire in the garage.
thankfully jason was outside doing yard work when it happened
and was able to put it out...
but he was pretty sick from the smoke and (who knows what that he inhaled from the burning stuff)
the rest of the day.
thankfully, we didn't lose much and he was able to keep it from causing structural damage...
but i have no idea how, because it started right in front of the far wall.
anyway, my dad brought over some new boxes to replace
the ones we lost, and to the kids (and cats),
it was better than christmas.
in fact, they wanted to sleep in their boxes that night,
and since our stuff was still airing out,
we agreed.
they both actually ended up back in their beds because they got too uncomfortable,
but it made for fun play time!

First off, I am so glad Jason was able to keep the fire from doing any structural damage and you all are safe. How scary! Secondly, your girls could not be cuter. Those are some pretty nice box beds they created! I love that kids have such great imaginations and will share with the cats too. ;)
i am SO happy that you all are safe and didn't cause any serious damage! that happened to our family several years ago, but our garage didn't fare as well as yours. we never figured out what it was, either (although we suspected a crazy neightbor..eek).
the girls are adorable, i love how they used their imaginations and got joy out of the small things.
Glad everyone is all right! Chris gets body panels and the boys make all kinds of creations with the cardboard. Looks like they are having a ton of fun!!
