friday night, daddy promised two little girls their choice of ice cream, complete with an array of toppings.
while he was at work saturday morning, we hurried through our school work so we could start decorating--
jax got really creative, see?
and after he tried cleaning it up with the wet paper towel syd gave him,
he decided it was better just to suck on it,
so he grabbed another crayon and went back at it.
boys.
mama got to hanging up decorations, while the kiddos anxiously watched for daddy
at long last, daddy came home--
with strawberry ice cream, chocolate/vanilla ice cream,
sprinkles, hot fudge, cherries, nuts and whipped cream!
they were so excited
(and so was i!)
(someday i'll get a real smile from her...right?)
i so want one of these right now...
but that would kind of undo all the zumba-ing i've done tonight.
there's always tomorrow...but never enough ice cream.
stink.
aaand here is mad max, getting jipped.
poor guy.
your day will come.
now i know what you're thinking..."why does she have tipped over chairs and random appliances in her dining room? what a freak!" actually, our dryer went out and kyle's sister was nice enough to give us her washer and dryer she was getting rid of. so yeah, i don't usually keep the dining room looking like that. i usually stay with the familiar decor--thrown food and spilled milk and sticky floors. it's how i roll...or something.

I love ice cream parties. I can't get my kids to decorate for them anymore but they still get pretty excited!
