Whether it's playing with her dolls or pretending to pull baby animals out of the tv screen to hold, Sydney's had quite the imagination lately. Tonight was different...
She said she was scared to go to bed, which she says quite a bit. She's afraid of the stuffed monkey my brother had "bite her" like a year ago. We always look under her bed for her and assure her that everything is ok. Tonight, Jason told her that Jesus was watching over her, and she didn't need to be afraid. We left the room, and she dissolved into hysterics crying about being scared. When asked what she was scared of, she replied, "Jesus." It freaked her out that Jesus was watching her! We tried to explain the best we could, but it's really hard for an almost 3 year old to comprehend. We prayed with her 3 times, but to no avail. She was so terribly upset that we let her come and lay down on the couch. I really hope tomorrow night is better.
Anyone else had trouble with "things that go bump in the night?"

Wes sleep walks so we have some very interesting nights around here! We will wake up to him digging around in the silverware drawer or just wandering around. It freaks ME out!!
The best thing we found to help our kids when they we little was to have a routine at bed. They all liked to fall asleep listening to praise music that isn't too rockin'!
There little minds are so creative at that age! Hope you get a good nights rest tonight!!
