fortune cookie valentines

sunday night, the fam and i made valentines for grandparents. i saw a version of this on a blog, but i thought it would be more fun to make the fortune cookies instead of buying them. jason made me fortune cookies for my birthday one year, and he said they were easy and fun to make. can't beat that, right?!

i no longer have "server hands" that are used to really hot surfaces, and so handling the hot-out-of-the-oven fortune cookies didn't seem so appealing. thankfully, my husband has tough hands and took over for me once they came out of the oven!

(he stuck them in the muffin tin so that they would hold their shape)

the kids each took turns dipping the fortune cookies in chocolate, mommy put sprinkles on,
and tony took pictures while jason kept folding!

thanks, everyone!

the fortune cookie is on scrap book paper from hobby lobby. i bought it last year for the kids' valentine cards for their grandparents and still had a sheet left over.
