day 60: electricity

day60

so a long time ago,

at least a year,

our microwave fried.
i heard a funny sound in the night, and
the next thing we knew, the outlet it was plugged into wasn't working,
along with the garbage disposal...but see that other switch?
that's the overhead light above the sink.
it still worked.
i know...
anyway, we had other outlets on that wall (only in the living room, not the kitchen) fried as a result of that,
and so we've had various cords and ghetto rigging going on
because we were too skeered to call an electrician...
sounded expensive.
well, ladies and gentlemen,
we are no longer ghetto.
at least with our electricity.
we got the name of a good electrician that recently did a lot of work on our church,
and for under $100, it was fixed!
i never thought i would be so excited to be extension cord free...
and to have a working garbage disposal.
we're movin' on up!

Why Being A Homeowner is So Much FUN!

1. Free fill dirt to even out the yard.

2. Rare photo opportunities.

3. A new sewer line that *hopefully* will not have to be cleaned out for a very long time!
