The Top 10 Things Learned in Our Home in 2008:1. We really can make boys! (Or so the sonogram says!)
2. Don't go to Kansas City when NASCAR is in town. You won't find a hotel until about 11pm and it'll probably be in Ottawa-- unless you want to pay the big bucks.
3. Alarm systems are good for when your three year old tries to open the back door when you‘re in the bathroom. They’re not so good when you forget about it being set and run home to get something out of the garage without turning it off. You don't hear the alarm in there, and so you're greeted by police officers when you get back to the front yard yelling at you with guns drawn. (Poor Jason).
4. Little sisters can't breathe under water.
5. Mommies shouldn't trim bangs when in a big hurry. The results are not good. Not good at all.
6. Be careful when telling your young child that Jesus is watching over her so she doesn't need to be afraid. It might result in hysterics and a fear of some man named Jesus watching her while she sleeps.
7. Baby powder is irresistible to young children, and the older child will often coax the younger child into making the mess for her. Both get to enjoy it, and if all goes as planned, only the little one will get in trouble.
8. You can make a lot of money on Craigslist. It's amazing what people will buy.
9. Don't accept anything from a child's closed hand without looking at it first. It may be alive...or just disgusting.
10. We are now less than 3 months away from becoming a family of 5!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
